How In-Browser PDF Page Extraction Works
Extracting pages from large PDF documents often requires installing bloated third-party software or trusting commercial online tools with your private files.
Slifto loads your document into browser memory and parses the internal PDF page tree. When you specify a range, the tool copies the exact binary stream objects corresponding to those page indices and packages them into a fresh, lightweight PDF file. No text is re-encoded and no confidential information ever leaves your device.
Examples of Page Range Expressions
| Input Format | Pages Extracted | Example Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Page 1 | Extracting invoice or cover page |
| 1-5 | Pages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 | Extracting chapter 1 of an ebook |
| 1-3, 7, 10-12 | Pages 1, 2, 3, 7, 10, 11, 12 | Selecting relevant contract sections |
